A few years ago I read an article on creativity that recommended being spontaneous like a child – for 30 minutes a day. I didn’t have that kind of time to spend, so I gave 5 minutes of silly, fun spontenaeity a go once a day for 5 days a week over 3 weeks. ( making up random songs; singing; dancing ; drawing ; playing chasey with my cats….) In the following months, I came up with some great creative solutions to workplace issues and logistics that were fabulously helpful and made a huge impact. Another spinoff was a great sense of achievement. Highly recommend spending this investment for some great outcomes and a more fun approach to creatively solving issues.

Yay Yvonne, that is brilliant. A great example of how "letting go" even for five minutes a day enables the creative process to build. Why waste all that childlike curiosity and fun just on the kids? As adults we benefit too.
